Finding clothes that fit properly can be a challenge when you have a unique body shape. As a petite woman with a large bust and a middle-aged pooch, it’s not easy to find the right fit. Petite sizes tend to have short crotches and belly shirts, while regular sizes often have waistlines that are too high. However, with some effort, it’s possible to find regular-sized clothing that flatters your figure without making you look like you’re wearing a tent.
I hate shopping, but I want to look cute, be comfy and have my clothes fit well. I also want to be stylish, just a little bit edgy and boho. Is that too much to ask? Sometimes it is! I am adding this section to my blog because I have a heck of a time finding clothes!
Regardless, this portion of my blog is for all the ladies who have the problem I do, women who can’t wear petites, sometimes drown in regular sizes and don’t want to shop in the juniors departments. Brands like Silk & Salt, Buffalo Jeans and Jessica Simpson are all very much my style. Soft, romantic tops paired with some iteration of black & denim bottoms. These shops have amazing end-of-season deals and styles that speak to me.
Every now and then, I’ll share my absolute favorite outfits that match my personal style flawlessly. These are the kinds of dresses that look best on me and have just become a part of my personal style; Dresses with A-line or empire waist designs, stretchy smocked tops. I absolutely love strappy sleeveless tanks or dresses, tees with square or V necklines, and only the mid-rise and low-rise jeans suit my body type and frame. Cropped tops are normal tops on me and mini dresses make my legs look longer. Midi skirts and dresses are my maxi styles. Ankle length jeans, are simply jeans I don’t have to get hemmed.

My personal style is casual. I hate it when people to older women that they should dress their age. I dress for comfort, but I also like to wear clothing with an edge. I loves jeans, hoodies and Bermuda shorts. I love soft, flowy strappy dresses. Usually in soft materials that get plenty of air flow through them in the summer heat. So I would say I tend more towards the Boho, Rocker chic. So very Gen-x of me.
